Entocycle

Growing protein-rich livestock feed such as fishmeal and soy contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and defor­esta­tion. Entocycle is using automation, computer vision, and machine learning to grow low-carbon, high-protein feed in the form of black soldier fly larvae. The larvae feed on organic waste products such as food waste, manure, and agri­cul­tural byproducts, and are up to 50 percent protein by dry weight.
