Zeno Power gets $30 million to build radioisotope-powered satellite for U.S. military
Zeno Power
Radioisotope power systems (RPSs) are an efficient source of energy for activities in extreme or remote environments, such as space, but they’ve never been small enough or cheap enough for commercial use. Zeno Power starts with a fuel source derived from nuclear waste and changes its geometry to reduce radiation, building RPSs that can provide power for commercial satellites, deep-sea mining robots, lunar rovers, arctic communities, and many other contexts.
