ZwitterCo

Membrane filters for the world’s toughest wastewaters

Fouling is the downfall of traditional membrane-based wastewater filtration, as contaminants rapidly choke off water flow. ZwitterCo builds its membranes from zwitterionic polymers that repel the fats, oils, and greases found in wastewater even as waste accumulates on a gross scale. Gentle chemicals restore ZwitterCo’s membranes to as-new condition over and over. That makes membrane filtration a viable option for wastewater reuse, especially at pharmaceutical plants and other facilities where the waste concentrates themselves may be valuable.
