Hailey focuses on communicating the groundbreaking impact our portfolio companies have on the world. Through engagement with the media, the creation of useful and interesting owned content, amplification of firm-related news on social media, and the facilitation of speaking appearances for DCVC partners and the leadership of our portfolio companies, she seeks to inform and energize the deep tech community, and to attract interest from the press and the broader public.
Before joining DCVC, Hailey led the venture capital communications practice at Edelman Smithfield, where she counseled venture capital and tech clients on holistic communications strategies, focusing on media relations, thought leadership, and high-stakes moments such as funding rounds, M&A, IPOs & SPACs, executive transitions, and crises. Earlier, she served on the marketing and communications team at Andreessen Horowitz. Hailey earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
