Richard focuses on evaluating companies at the bleeding edge of the life sciences. With an emphasis on teams at the intersection of deep tech and biology, he works with our partners and entrepreneurs to form investment theses, execute deals, and support our portfolio companies.
Prior to joining DCVC, Richard was a consultant at Fika Bio, where he advised private and public biotech companies on business development and financing. Richard began his career as an investment banking analyst in biotech coverage at Credit Suisse. Richard served as a Corporal in the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, an airborne infantry reserve unit in Toronto, from 2019 to 2022. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in international business administration from York University.
