Emily has over 15 years of experience in the venture industry focused on investor relations, servicing and operations. At DCVC, Emily supports our Investor Relations Partner and acts as a bridge between Finance and our Limited Partners on all things operational.
Before joining DCVC, Emily was at Next Legacy where she managed fundraising operations, was responsible for the integration of data and processes for the newly established merger between Next Play Capital and Legacy Venture and handled all Next Play Capital investor inquiries and communication. Earlier, Emily was the Head of Client Relations at Capital Dynamics where she led a team focused on managing the day to day relationships of a global investor base. While at Capital Dynamics, she was heavily involved in the development and internal/external implementation of Capital Dynamics’ data and investor portal, which became a separate service company and was later acquired by Preqin (now BlackRock).
Emily started her career with the Venture Services Group at Merrill Lynch, where she focused on in-kind equity distributions and developed many of the processes still used by the team today. Emily is a San Francisco native, graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics.
