Chariot Defense
Building transportable power systems for a more mobile and distributed military
In commercial travel, passengers need faster, cleaner ways to move between coastal destinations. In defense, modern militaries need littoral vehicles that can fly above sonar and below radar. Regent is a dual use manufacturer of battery-powered, wing-in-ground-effect passenger vessels and drones that fly just above the water’s surface at up to 180 mph. The Rhode Island-based company’s mission is to increase the speed and reduce the carbon footprint of passenger trips between coastal cities (up to 180 miles apart), and to help the U.S. and its allies with logistics, search and rescue, anti-submarine warfare, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).
